Fall at the Harbor

Fall is the season to celebrate harvest and bounty.  While other places celebrate in the pumpkin patch and corn fields, we celebrate by the water.  Because it’s the harbor that gives Morro Bay so much sustenance all year – in knowledge, inspiration, recreation, and food.

In its 37th year, Harbor Festival is Morro Bay’s oldest outdoor event.  This year’s Harbor Fest will continue the tradition.  Not to mention admission is free.

Wear your best Hawaiian shirt to blend in with the locals and enter the Bay News Hawaiian Shirt contest.  And if you forgot yours, you can always pick one up at Aloha Shirt Shop

Learn about the estuary from The Morro Bay Estuary Nature Center, or from exhibitors along the embarcadero.

Enjoy the variety of live music throughout the day from rock and reggae to choirs and drums (full music schedule).

And relish the main event – all things seafood from one of our local restaurants or at Giovanni’s Oyster Eating Contest

Spend this weekend in Morro Bay as we invite you to make our community’s tradition your tradition.  For a complete festival schedule visit the Harbor Festival event page.
